NAVTRAC implements Nigeria Navy training doctrine and policies to actualize the CNS Strategic Directive and mission by overseeing all local training policies. The Command accomplishes its training mandate through prudent management of available resources, leading to significant achievements in naval education and preparedness.

The mission of NAVTRAC is to provide initial, specialist, and professional training to NN, Armed Forces Nigeria (AFN), and other Nigerian/international agencies through collaboration with relevant stakeholders towards optimal performance in maritime security and defense operations.
